It really is a perfect match, a man who loves to putter in the garage and a woman who needs gadgets. This time what I needed was a high volume chick waterer.



The hardest part of having 200 chicks is keeping enough water available. So Tom created a drip system out of a bucket, some PVC, and a handful of water nipples. I added a cake pan drip tray to help keep the bedding dry. 



At first they were a little confused. Fortunately, there were a few intrepid explorers ready to investigate this new apparatus.  Before long it was a party and everyone wanted to play.
