Cormo Sheep

Originating in Tasmania, Australia as a cross between Corriedale rams and Merino ewes the Cormo offers good fertility, frame size and yield of fleece. Cormo fleeces are extremely consistent throughout with no more than 2 micron variations between one part and another.

The fineness of the Cormo wool is suitable for next-to-the-skin projects and baby garments. The standard is white which, when dyed, will yield nice clear colors. The well defined crimp and elasticity coupled with body in the fiber gives clarity in lace patters or textured knitting.
