The Teeswater Sheep Society of North America describes Teeswaters as “The Royalty of the Fiber World” and with their luxurious locks they certainly dress the part.
Originating in Great Britain the Teeswater sheep are currently on the UK’s Rare Breed Survival Trust watch list. Breeders in North America use imported semen from a select few purebred rams for artificial insemination. Using this method each lamb crop is a higher percentage with lambs over 96% being considered North American Purebred.
