Besides being my profile picture, Betty is a beautiful and friendly Icelandic ewe. She is dainty and demure and oh so fluffy.
From the start she was the cutest little button of fluff, and now she is a whole lot more fluff but still pretty adorable.
Her dainty face is so petite I had to make a halter for her, even the smallest they had at the feed store was so big on her she just slipped right out.
Her lamb fleece has a wonderful tight curl to it’s tips. And it’s so very long for being just 7 months old.
Betty was super patient and easy to clip
Betty seems to enjoying her spa day.
Betty got turned out to pasture but her fleece covers a 4′ X 8′ sheet of T-111A couple weeks after shearing we heard the dogs barking so I went out to see what was the matter. I found the most amazing surprise present from little miss Betty Boop.
She was an excellent first time momma and her little ewe lamb was born without any assistance.
This little ewe lamb was appropriately named Mocha Latte by her new family.
